We reported earlier that other people had  said that they saw Miles at the Jo Bros concert.  The paparrazi that follow her around had said that was not a possibility since she was in Tennessee and we put that in our aticle because they should know where she is at any given moment.

We now have  solid confirmation from a representative of Hollywood Records that he was there backstage all night and did not see any sign of Miles.

Ok this coupled with what we reported as to what the paps were saying should clear this up hopefully. We will still keep our eyes on this for further developments, but as it stands right now she was in Tennessee and not at the Jo Bros concert.

As a general rule, the gay community loves us some female pop stars. This may come from identification with strong, feminine icons, or just the love of a good beat and excellent vocals. And the arrival of the digital age has brought a wave of societal tolerance as well as tools for gays to proclaim both their sexuality and their fandom. Specifically, remaking music videos by certain female pop stars.

It’s a false stereotype that all gay men love to perform. For that matter, not all dudes who lipsynch in front of a camera are gay. But if you find yourself recording a shot-for-shot remake of a Christina Aguilera video … maybe reevaluate your sexual preferences. I’m just sayin’.

These amateur remakes of popular music videos (what we in post-Be Kind Rewind society sometimes refer to as sweding) are a trend that seems especially strong among those in the gay community. Songs like Katy Perry‘s “California Gurls” and just about anything by Lady Gaga practically seem designed to be juxtaposed with dancing guys in coifed haircuts and speedos, and people like Ryan James Yezak seem to be entirely cognizant of this.

Yezak has practically made a career out of making elaborate, choreographed gay versions of music videos. Skim through his YouTube channel and you’ll find a bevy of female pop star renditions including Britney Spears and Ke$ha.

But Yezak’s work is just the tip of the iceberg. Other gay fans have taken it upon themselves to record their own versions of Taylor Swift‘s “You Belong With Me,” Miley Cyrus‘s “Party in the USA,” and many others. One lip dub to Lilly Allen‘s “F*ck You” even incorporates multiple YouTubers in a massive collaboration that celebrates Allen’s vitriolic pro-tolerance message.

Yezak’s newest video for Kary Perry’s “Peacock” has actually been incorporated into her viral marketing campaign as her people reached out to AfterElton to tout the gay version of “Peacock.” Meanwhile, Lady Gaga even gave specific thanks to her gay fans for remaking “Bad Romance” at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. The fact that she was wearing a golden feather mohawk at the time doesn’t make the acknowledgment any less weighty.

It’s not exactly a secret that there’s some sort of mysterious, inseparable connection between singing ladies and the gays, and while that hasn’t changed since the heydays of Cher, Liza, Barbra and Bette, the way that gays express their inner fanboy definitely has. And the evolution of gay music fandom reflects a positive change in society’s acceptance of homosexuality.

Earlier generations celebrated their favorite divas with drag performances in the secluded haven of gay bars. This certainly still takes place today, but as society has become more tolerant (to an extent, even receptive) towards gay culture, gay fans have become comfortable enough to put their appreciation for female pop music (and by association, their sexuality) on display for the entire world to see.

Meanwhile, pop stars seem to have caught on to a simple fact that many of us figured out years ago: viral video is hella powerful, and artists would do well to embrace fan content and not suppress it. And frankly, Katy Perry is lucky to have so many gay fans willing to overlook certain lyrical choices, not to mention her idea of how to use the word “gay” as a putdown of dudes who rejected her in high school.

So cheers to Gaga, Allen and all the rest for donating just a tiny ounce of the spotlight to us fanboys, and for realizing that imitation really is the most sincere form of flattery.

Hunky rapper LL Cool J has revealed his favourite Miley Cyrus song in an interview with his ten-year-old daughter.

The 42-year-old rapper-turned-actor answers his little girl Nina’s questions in the current issue of Redbook — a US women’s magazine.

At one point Nina says: “Daddy, I love Miley Cyrus. What’s your favourite song of hers?” Cool J — real name James Todd Smith — says: “Party in the USA. It’s a real fun song. I just wish my name were in it.” Nina Simone is the youngest of the rapper’s four children with wife Simone Johnson.

The couple also have son Najee, 21, and daughters Italia, 20 and Samaria, 15. The cheeky ten-year-old also asks her dad if he will reward her for doing well at school. Nina says: “If I get all As on my report card this year, do I get a present?” The rapper says: “I expect you to get all As. Why would I get you a present?” To which the little girl responds: “Daaaaad, that’s my question — you’re supposed to answer it! “I’d like an iPad, a new phone or a puppy. The residents of Detroit’s historic neighborhoods have always known how to promote themselves, but the villages east of downtown are taking their annual open house to the next level.

Participants in the fourth annual Living in the V real estate open house have added a festival for next Sunday’s event that runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It will feature performances by area musicians, refreshments, a free guided bus tour of the six villages, a bike tour, pedicab rides and a boat ride to Belle Isle for a tour of the historic Detroit Yacht Club. There’s also a dog contest at 11:30 a.m.

This year, the tour of homes for sale and rent is self-guided. There will be a bus tour of the areas, but it will not stop at the homes, organizers said. Those interested will need to drive to the homes open on the tour. Most of the events take place on Agnes Street between Van Dyke and Parker in West Village Historic District.

Organizers expect at least 30 residences on the tour this year, including one on Seminole where scenes were filmed for the movie “LOL,” starring Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus is loved by two Australian, let’s talk about the first one. According to reports, a 14 year-old Australian tourist sparked security concerns in California on Wednesday, September 15 when police found the young fan loitering outside Miley Cyrus’ home.

The unnamed 14 year-old boy is reported to have taken note of Cyrus’ address in the San Fernando Valley after joining a Hollywood tour of celebrity homes, and decided to return to Miley Cyrus’ home that afternoon.

No charges were filed against the boy.

”It’s going to be fun,” said Hemsworth, of the ceremony, where celebrity guests are usually soaked in green slime. ”I cannot wait to get slimed – I better wear a wetsuit of some sort,” he added.

Hemsworth has been named as the lead actor in a big-budget version of Arabian Nights, with Sir Anthony Hopkins . ”It’s super-exciting, I really wanted to do this film – it’s a big, epic action thriller,” he said.

The film will go into production early next year.
